Event Details
As part of VACB's new Fraud Information-Sharing Group, we are pleased to invite you to our inaugural webinar on Wednesday, August 20, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
The Evolving Fraud Landscape: What Community Banks Need to Know
Fraud continues to evolve at a rapid pace, making timely information sharing more important than ever for community banks. This webinar series is designed to provide members with current insights, emerging trends, and practical strategies to help protect your institution and your customers.
Our featured speaker will be Scott Anchin, Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Policy for the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA). Scott works closely with financial regulatory agencies, Congress, and industry leaders to help shape policy affecting community banks and payments. Drawing on his extensive experience with the Federal Reserve, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Department of Homeland Security, and ICBA, Scott will share valuable perspectives on today's fraud policy landscape and the challenges facing financial institutions.
Following Scott's 45-minute presentation, we'll reserve time for attendee questions and discussion.
Whether you work in operations, fraud prevention, risk management, compliance, information security, or bank leadership, this webinar offers an excellent opportunity to stay informed and connect with peers across Virginia's community banking industry.
We hope you'll join us for this informative kickoff event as we launch what we expect to be an ongoing resource for our member banks. Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
We look forward to seeing you on August 20!
