About Us

VACB was created to make community banks in Virginia better. Community bankers support the local economy, fund small businesses, reinvest dollars back into the community, and uphold sound and ethical practices. Our members are all over Virginia and its bordering states and we represent the institutions who wear the name 'community banker' proudly. VACB offers community bankers valuable resources like advocacy and education that allow community bankers to compete and excel in the marketplace.

VACB also provides greater access and visibility for our Associate Members and a greater sense of belonging to an association that works for the good of community banking in Virginia, its customers and the economy at large. Associate members are often asked for presentation assistance by providing subject matter experts at various events and to submit articles for our magazine and e-newsletter written with the community banker audience in mind.
